Sounds like almost a done deal but to Penn St lol. That would be strange. A combination of money and tension between the coaching staff. Probably needs a fresh start. If true, GL but reeks desperation from Penn St

Reeks of desperation from Penn St. It’s all or nothing next year but I don’t blame them after see scUM and Ohio St win it all. Qb and rb’s coming back. Problem is they still have Franklin as HC
 
Helps State Penn a lot more than it helps OU. Im good with saving the money here. Defense hasn't been the problem.
 
Seems like he just wanted out of CBus, because reports are OSU would have matched or exceed

Unfortunately, I have to root for him to be a complete failure at Happy Valley

Makes sense. Ohio state is a known feeder program to more prominent schools.
 
Rumor has it that Day chewed into the defensive staff after the Oregon game and Knowles got butthurt because of it and that was the big contribution to his leaving.

I am sad to see him go at Ohio state. He is your version of don brown. Winless against Michigan. Often hilariously so
 
Knowles is a good DC but he's far from irreplaceable.

Remember it took a few years for his D to really take for and that was with a loaded talent roster at his disposal. Ped State is probably gonna expect immediate results and be disappointed.
 
This might honestly be Franklins downfall. D will take a noticeable step back next year. Knowles has to get to year 3 for it to really work. With a meh offense and hot & cold D for 2 years they could wind up losing 3-4 (or more) games and missing the playoffs in 2025 and 2026.

...or it took him a few years to figure out how BiG teams play.. and since he's staying in conference.. he might pay off immediately?
