GAME College Gameday - Autzen Stadium - #3 OREGON vs #2 Ohio State - B1G

What was with the clock still running after Smith got the interference call and ran out of bounds? Not sure about the rules.

Doesn't stop on offensive penalties where the clock would have been running.

He went out of bounds. It’s a bit weird I guess. I suppose it’s a way to penalize the offense by not giving them a timeout when they caused a penalty. But it’s like an incomplete pass and he went out of bounds. My head is about to explode trying to rationalize it.

They brought the rules analyst on to explain it, but apparently he had been getting his ass kicked somewhere else and I could barely hear him mumble his way quietly through the rule.

Just call the timeout

I’m not supposed to know the rule but of course someone on the coaching staff gets paid to know. 12 team playoff means…..eh
Nice bragging rights though

Pay OD

Speaking of playing Akron. Is there like an "unwritten rule" that the Buckeyes play Akron on a certain basis? I know a much superior team in another conference had to play a lower level team ever so often. I wanna say it was Clemson had to play one of those lower South Carolina schools. That was years ago though.
We do this with a lot of MAC Ohio schools - we play Kent State, Miami, Toledo, and BG fairly regularly.

I will bump this thread like I should've been bumping the game thread where Oregon won at Ohio State.

2-0 vs the Buckeyes since the turn of the decade.

Rents due.

Looked like they were trying to. Innis was throwing up timeout two different directions but I don't think they saw him.

Why didn't Day? He was yelling at the ref about the clock instead of calling it

OD's desperate cries for attention. Never gets old.
