GAME Colorado State @ Coach Prime along with Colorado (18) - 10pm EST - ESPN

Things had to get challenging at some point I guess. They still might make a bowl game.
They've had three tune-ups against terrible teams. Now let the competition begin. We saw the crack in the facade last night, the chink in the dam, if you will. Now it gets interesting.

I'm not saying those teams are good. But they are respectable IMO. If you look at the top 25 they've played a better schedule than probably 20 of those teams. Yes, CSU was bad last year, but I think they are pretty improved this year. They've also played Wazzu and CU so being 0-2 isn't as bad as the record looks. Again, it's not an amazing schedule, but it's been harder than a lot of top 25 teams have played thus far.
Wazzu blew them out.

#13 Oregon
#5 USC
ASU
Stanford
#24 UCLA
#16 Oregon State
Arizona
#23 WSU
#12 Utah

That is a heck of an upcoming schedule for the Buffs.

I don't think they beat Oregon, USC or Utah.

I think they beat ASU, Stanford and Arizona.

That would make them bowl eligible.

Then it's a matter of how they do against UCLA, the Beavs and the Cougs. I think they get 1 maybe 2 of those.

7-5 or 8-4 would be a good first year and set them up to make some real noise in the Big 12 starting next year.

It just took double-OT to beat a terrible team who utterly refused to win. I don't know what changes that they have four or five more wins in them against a legit schedule.

Stanford and ASU are the only gimmes. Even Zona with their QB De Laura will not be easy. He is a pretty good signal caller.

Well, ASU just lost to Fresno St. 29-0 and Stanford lost 30-23 to Sacramento St.

I think they beat Arizona because they're talent level is roughly the same, but Colorado has the better QB.

I think WSU is probably better than Colorado, but they get them the week before the Apple Cup. They're pretty much guaranteed to "Coug it" in at least a couple of games and that one seems like a prime candidate.

How is Coach Prime not destroying them? Northern Colorado and Colorado State are basically the same team.
If CSU is a good win for Colorado, imagine how good Wazzu's blowout over the Rams is? Oh wait, the media isn't talking about that. CSU just only became good in the last two weeks

I haven't heard how they're saying it's a good win.

If they're saying it's a good win because they beat a good team...then whoever is claiming that should never be allowed to talk about football again.

But if they're saying it was a good win because they faced the adversity of having to come back from being down 11 late in the game and having to convert two 2 point conversions without their best player and against their in-state rival...then I'd agree it was a good win.
