Composite pre-season rankings are out ...

Gotta love The Athletic. Everyone else has LSU in the top 16 and they don't even rank em. :pound:
Don't know how they got ranked. LSU has zero defense and LSU's offense is headed to the nfl, so nothing there.
AND
Not only do they have a SEC schedule, they have two powerhouse teams from the other P2 conf. ..... USC and UCLA.
The question is; will LSU become bowl eligible?

also; LSU still has that ND dufuss as HC

It is pretty amazing how some of these teams miss the "superior" teams in their conference. Then, factor in some of these non conference games. I feel there will be some moments of "Man how did you beat that 8-2 team and lose to that 2-7 team?" amongst other things. I wonder everyday how these "new" conferences (B1G & SEC) are not gonna beat each other up.

i don't think they will be that good this season

It is well documented that I like to pick on the two flagship schools in my state. (If you had to live around rusty cow and aggie fans you would too.) But, I think the aggies are a little low. I think getting rid of Jimbo is going to help them immensely. I never was sold on him in the first place. The rusty cows may finish that high because they got lucky on the SEC schedule this year. And I doubt very seriously they are all that "skurred" about playing in the big house which is their only OOC opponent of note.

At least you were "Others receiving vo ..." oh, wait, never mind.

Has TAMU ever over-performed? My guess is they go 6-6 but we’ll see

Absolutely not. They've never been awful but they dang sure haven't lived up to their resources and talent.

Many people said they'd struggle when they joined the SEC. I said, "Nope. They'll finish just about where they did in the Big 12. No better. No worse." I think if you compare their last ten years record in the Big 12 and the first ten years in the SEC, my opinion turned out to be pretty accurate. Sumlin benefitted the first couple of years from a combination of Sherman's OL recruiting and JFF. Been blase since then.
