Conspiracy theories you believe

your first question is actually a great question. There are so many jfk conspiracy theories that they tend to meld together. It’s often hard to pin someone down when you ask them which one they believe.

The book is called “Case Closed” by Gerald Posner. At the time it was written my sister was working at a book store and the author had a book signing. She had him inscribe it for me and she gave it to me as a Christmas gift. I was well aware of the book when it first came out but thought it was garbage bc it concluded that the Warren commission basically got it right (that Oswald acted alone).

The author went thru all the evidence and explained it all. Along the way he dispelled all the various conspiracy theories. The beginning of the book is VERY dry. It’s about oswalds early life. It’s dry but very important bc you come to the absolute conclusion that Oswald couldn’t have been a Russian agent bc he was basically a functioning moron. In other words, he was too stupid. The rest of the book is a very easy read where the author goes thru all the evidence.
You got that right….like if you asked me the same I would have this debate in my mind for the validity of many. I just always left it at that it’s possible it could have been this nebulous combination of conspirators all together on it. Or….I could have been just a lone shooter. 🤷‍♂️

Still, the book sounds interesting just to get the contrarian view on all the theories.

The person we know as David Spade is actually Kurt Cobain. The body found at Cobain's home was the real David Spade. Chris Farley found out and was made to look like an overdose.
man, Kurt was awesome in Just Shoot Me

I'm just glad nobody here believes that elements within the American/British/Israeli/Saudi power structures all cooperated to bring about a cataclysmic event that ended up costing many American and civilian lives for some greedy bullshit.
That's just because @AlaskaGvy ran off

The CIA's traditional role as an intelligence agency directed towards foreign matters, is actually their secondary role, their first being the ad-hoc "ministry of culture" for the United States. As such, a large part of that role requires that they dictate policy to the mainstream media to ensure that we, the people, always remain at odds with one another to ensure that power remains centralized and accessed by the few, and that political parties with major influence are kept to a minimum.

The auto makers are in bed with big oil. They possess the capacity and technology to make more fuel efficient cars but want you to pay a premium price for them. Otherwise you have to keep buying petrol

I am not sure if that is considered a theory?

Ha ha ha. That was my thought yesterday. This isn’t theory. This is accepted fact. The only ones denying that are those that are still trying vainly to hide such truth.

Though it is worth noting the recent push and goals car makers are setting for EV as at least the possible start of a break between this unholy union.

My one problem with the Oswald Acted Alone theory is Jack Ruby.

Why did Ruby not want Oswald to face prosecution?

it’s been a long time since I’ve read that book but posner went into that in great detail. He really walked thru Ruby’s life. He was a real wingnut. He really did think the country would treat him like a hero if he did that. He knew a lot of cops. It’s why he able to gain access to the police station to do the shooting. In fact, he was at the police station multiple times before he shot Oswald. He was seen and photographed there by reporters covering the story.

That’s always been a great question. I’m reading the book that was suggested in the post you quoted off of. Just starting it, but the preface lays out how he is going to approach all the theories and do deep background on Oswald, and to a lesser degree Ruby.

I’ve always wondered if the mob had some connection to “the lone shooter” not related specifically to killing Kennedy, but had to try to rub him out to not get attached to killing a President.

Then again, I can believe what is laid out in The Irishman too….so…..

I can certainly see that perspective. In fact, didn't the crowd at the hospital where JFK had been taken erupt into cheers when it was announced Oswald was dead?
