People watch too many movies wherein they think it's so easy to hit your target with a pistol.

It's not! With such a short barrel you would never hit the cat through anything other than sheer luck.

I've set up a bottle and given a loaded pistol to many a person and challenged them to hit it from 20 feet away and they miss every time.

Just the act of pulling the trigger can move you off target and send the bullet off several feet.

If you ever went to a shooting range you'd know how useless a "pistol" would be in that situation.



What you need is a shotgun with a good spread pattern and some 00 buckshot!

Not sure, but I've hiked up on them and had them skulk towards me.

On one occasion, he knew of me, WELL before I knew of him. My estimate, is that he had been following me for a while.

They are nature's perfect predator, but they also want NOTHING to do with a full grown man.

The only animals you truly have to fear in our country is Grizzlies, Moose and skunks.


Grizzlies are EXTREMELY territorial. Incredibly dangerous animals.

Moose are the most unpredictable of them all. They display zero characteristics that you can count on. Times that by a thousand when in rut.

Skunks are the most feared animal in the forest. Their spray is what Bear Spray wishes it was.

At least in this one, the bear is actually chasing him. The mountain lion video, real or non, the cat is trying to get him to leave... Not chasing.

This is super fake. Grizzlies are fast af. Way faster than some retard on his Huffy. 50 ft per sec. That first site of him coming at him from the side....it would've been on top of him right fucking there.

Yea, I know it's fake. Color is all wrong too.

I really said this only to indicate that the cat wasn't chasing the man. he was only trying to get him to leave.

Oh for sure. Not a stalk at all, just getting him away from the cubs.


He still waited way too long to haze it off. The longer that goes on, the higher the odds are of it going south.
