Crypto

I've never done any due diligence on crypto so I know little about it enough to go there.

I've been cash in my investment account since December 2020. I wish someone would gut this stock market 'til there's blood in the streets so I can get back in.

I did sell off some vacant land last spring that I'd been holding since 2009. The developer still hasn't done anything with it and is now trying to flip it. I wish him well. I got mine.

I don't see anything worth the risk right now, so I'll just remain a fraidy cat.
Might want to look for something that is an inflation hedge. Just saying.

They had the audacity to charge an exchange fee!!

Seriously, markets did something or another during the time there that I ended up with fewer dollars on the return to home although I had the same amount Candian due to a decent night at the casino. Amounted to 3-4%.
Ugh. I feel like they always trap me with those, too! They hold my money hostage, jerkfaces! Now when I travel internationally, I just accept the fact that I'm going to get screwed coming and/or going, so to make it easy on myself, I just use a credit card and deal with the fallout later.

I've got a lot of 1 oz silver coins/bars in the safe that I started buying in 2018.

Thought about letting them go in the upper $20's, but held. I'll probably take just north of $30 when the time comes.

I'm out in the country, so if the shit hits the fan and I've got no silver, I'll still eat.

I have a friend who was like an OG bitcoin investor and sold half and kept the other half once it exploded. The biggest thing I've seen with crypto is invest with a trusted partner (Robinhood for instance) because A LOT of people are getting scammed by third party investors who just take any/all earnings gained. Kinda similar to some early Internet scams.

The first couple fell right through. Once I learned to put a little backwards spin on them it only took a couple to jam those babies up. Then I'd follow with a few pennies and nickels for good measure.

Well worth the revenge.

When I got out of the military in the early 90's I took a temporary job with an amusement company that had lots of coin ops. Pinball, video games, dart boards, juke boxes, etc.

Most calls were for jammed machines and the vast majority of those were caused by Canadian quarters.

I watched the videos and get the free crypto on coin base. Doesn’t amount to a lot but keeps it spread around to diversify.
I’ll swing trade etherum and Bitcoin on my robin hood account But don’t hold and long term

I'm pretty much doing the same. I'm using Robinhood for Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum and doing the lessons on Coinbase for the free crypto and about to start doing some spot trading on altcoins there.

I did that when all the nonsense with GameStop was happening. Just opened an account and picked up some random shit. But I forget it's there. Every couple of weeks, I'll remember to check it and i'm not in the red, so I just leave it be :noidea:
