Interesting to see what your take on it is.

I think it is advanced gaming (on a legitimate blockchain platform) with actual monetary stakes (where you bought the imaginary money - gee, who has it, where is it and who are they?) in a vulnerable environment that can be hacked.

There are no hard assets backing or securing crypto transactions and security parameters are unregulated. Gains are all imaginary.

The money you stake/deposit is real but what you are buying is imaginary and controlled by someone else's software.

Game. Set. Match.

That's pretty much it. Not interested in buying imaginary money. To me, not much different than the Emperor's clothes. It is much much more involved than that, but just not interested.
I always think of the theory of yard(garage) sales. The theory of the bigger idiot. The internet is off, you have nothing. But the whole world is involved in it, so there are plenty takers. More power to 'em.
The fact that it's unregulated makes no difference to me. In fact, I think those that are in it don't want it regulated. Don't know.
I'm not going to argue against it, I'm just not interested in it. For all of the people in it, great, I hope you make lots and lots of money.

You are completely clueless. You don’t even understand the basics.

“but but but… the security parameters are unregulated, guys!!!”

:L

“Interesting” because he agrees with you. lolz

A contrary opinion? Not so interesting!

You don’t understand it. Therefore it’s bad.
Crypto is just not my cup of tea. I'm not saying anyone shouldn't do it or it's a scam. I have the same opinion about derivatives. Both are wild markets but I don't want to play. Anyone that does, more power to you. Hope you make a lot of money.
In my other post, i brought up regulation. The fact that it isn't regulated wouldn't stop me from doing this if i wanted to try. What I want to ask you is, would you prefer it to be regulated or leave it the way it is, unregulated?
If I were to do this, I believe I want it the way it is. I think!

What's the benefit of regulation, in the typical sense of regulation to an asset that is already regulated by the market? Who will regulate it? A *Biden nominee? Some appointee of the World Bank? IMF?

De-centralized, unregulated and open, otherwise why are we doing it?

Feb. 7, The White House, Washington, D.C. (Reuters) - White House Crypto Czar Dolemite Censored had strong words for the cryptocurrency ecosystem on Monday as he sat with *President *Biden in the West Sitting Hall.

"I urge all Americans to not touch crypto until it's regulated and secured. I mean, for crying out loud" urged Mr. Censored "the security parameters are not even regulated."

Spurred on by the hapless *President, Mr. Censored went even further. "I mean, look! There are now over a hundred cryptos and new ones are created every day and money is pouring into those scams!"

Asked for a personal prediction on Cryto.com's token $CRO, currently the focus of a global media blitz, including its takeover of Staples Center and partnerships with athletes like Lebron James and Neymar, Dole, as he's more commonly known, offered this final bit of advice.

"CRO will get a bump from their SB ad. Then it will crash, wiping out the idiots who bought it."

The briefing closed as a visibly confused *President shuffled out of the room for his mid-morning ice cream cone.
