I believe that puts CUSA at 7 (assuming WKU and MTSU are going to the MAC
FIU, LA Tech, UTEP, New Mexico State, Liberty, Sam Houston and Jacksonville State

And UConn still doesn't give them enough teams for basketball. Because UConn (Or UMass for that matter) aren't leaving the BE or A10 to join CUSA. My guess is they add another FCS school to get to 8.

I believe that the below 8 schools thing doesnt hit till 2023 when most of the movement should be done. then they have 2 years. so they could wait before announcing another school. maybe see if the WKU and MT thing happens
