I watched a documentary about him. That’s probably why I said White Sox first. Interesting guyIt's Gaedel.
Bill Veeck's autobiography is a great read, you would love it.

He never put the answer in one post. He only mentioned the last name. He danced around and never gave the team or first name.Pretty sure @DragonFromTo was first with the correct response

I had to research it. I have seen a lot of his club's games but I don't remember him.
Yeah, there’s zero chance I’m getting this one. If Father Time, aka @Kburjr doesn’t remember him, I’ve probably never heard of a non Brave and non at least hall of very good pitcher from before I was born
Yes,no one would guess it......
The pitcher who I thought it was got scratched that day because of a bicycle incident the day before.....Steve Trout.
The son of one time pitcher Dizzy Trout......
But the pitcher who gave up the tying hit was Reggie Patterson.
And I never heard of him either......
So heres a softball ptch just to go to the next question:
Who gave up Petes record breaking hit for all time hits leader......??
That was the question that was brought up a couple weeks ago while having some beers during the football games......
I told my buddy that the Reds had left Chicago giving up the record tying hit and he wondered who it was,I said Trout and googled it to prove my answer, but found out it was wrong......
Thats how I knew who it was......

This one is Eric Show
I'm gonna post a question, hope that's OK
There are a small number of players who have played for both a College World Series champion and a World Series champion. Who was the first?
