I get that, but knowing you have 4 plays instead of 3 is a HUGE advantage. Plus UW has the best offense in CFB. Getting two yards is a higher % play than stopping them even driving 80+ IMO.

Stopped them from scoring 80% of the time in the half. Don’t give the best offense inCFB a short field to win.

Still a bad call IMO. They were up 33-29 Make them go 80 yds for the TD.

UW had 2 sustained drives in the 2nd half(stopped at the goal-line) and two 3 and outs. Basically a 50/50 proposition to stop them, no matter where they get the ball. Is getting two yards better than a 50/50 proposition for the Oregon offense? I'd say probably. However, the play call wasn't great.

Also UW scored so quick because of the shorter field Oregon actually had time to tie it up.

There was 2:11 remaining when they went for it on 4th and 3 from the Washington 47 yd line.
