A 5th rounder is all it took?

Commanders are taking their shit seriously.

Not sure about this move for the Commanders. All that cap space and you're going to waste $17M of it on a washed Deebo?

If I were the Commanders GM I'd take that money and go try to sign Milton Williams, Baun, Sweat and Becton from the Eagles.

There is a reason the 49ers traded Deebo. His production has gone down every year. He is a YAC WR but this year he came in out of shape. He hasnt been breaking through tackles like he used to. During his prime year he was a dual threat WR who was getting big gains from jet sweeps and handoffs. He wasnt fooling defenses anymore and was no longer effective coming out of the backfield. He isnt a good route runner and was not getting seperation. On top of that there were times last year he just gave up on plays. Maybe a change in scenery will help him.

They have plenty of $$ to take a one year swing that Deebo will make the plays he used too in a contract year. I’m ok with it

Who’s going to run the ball with Robinson, Daniels and Deebo on the field at same time? Matchup nightmare. Then BOOM, deep ball to Terry.

Only 670 receiving yards last season but he was 2nd in the NFL in YAC.

Good addition by Washington.

I think so too.

The 49ers were a mess and Deebo has gas in the tank and with a QB that is a true dual threat it is going to open things up for him. The guy doesn't have to play every snap to extremely effective and if defenses have to worry about him and Daniels it could shake things loose.

I'm not sure this makes the Commanders a true contender especially since they way over achieved last year but it puts them in the conversation.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see which Deebo shows up. If he shows up in shape and remembers how to get separation on his routes and how to catch the ball without dropping it and remembers that he’s not supposed to choke members of his own team on the sideline and remembers that he really shouldn’t complain on social media about how he’s being used when he’s not getting separation and dropping balls and choking out special teamers , maybe he’ll be alright.

Somebody is cranky today.

Not at all. Deebo was ass last year. Maybe he’s washed or maybe he just needs a change of scenery, but I’m happy to see him gone. The Niners had a lot of injuries last year and needed Deebo to step up but he stepped back instead.

Deebo is already an upgrade over either of the Brown wrs and Zaccheus......
If they can get Luke McCaffrey in the zone, add a rb in the mix, they got something going there.....

I like the addition.

It wasnt the 49ers. It was Deebo who was a mess. Came in overweight and couldnt get seperation downfield. He hasnt been a running threat for a couple of years and his output has been decreasing since his big 2021 year. Maybe a change in scenery will help motivate him but he wasnt the 2021 deebo

People keep thinking he is the 2021 Deebo. He wasnt. Teams were no longer fooled by the jet sweeps and handoffs. He only had one game where he looked like the old Deebo.

One of the higher ups came from SF. I doubt this is a rental, so if they extend him the cap number will change.

Samuel isn't a #1 anymore. This move is to give them an option to take some heat off McLaurin. Zach Ertz and Olamide Zaccheaus were second and third in total receiving yards for the Commies last year. Their passing game needs options, and Deebo might thrive in a setting where he's coming in as the clear secondary option and there will be chances for him to operate in space.

It's just odd. Their receiving core is old and this adds to it.

Deebo - 29 years old and already in decline
McLaurin - 30 years old at the start of the season
Ertz - 34 years old and will turn 35 this season
OZ - youngest of the bunch turning 28 this season and he really isn't anything beyond a 3rd WR/role player
