Deshaun Watson

It's being reported that Watson would approve 3 teams for a transfer:

Dolphins
Jets
Panthers

Denver was not listed.

I figured Denver was likely not to make a trade for him anyway. Obviously, the Dolphins are the best situation. I think they need to do everything in their power to get Watson once Houston starts taking offers.

They are also interested in Aaron Jones.

If they restructure a couple of contracts and make some cuts they can get to $62M in cap room this offseason and make some big moves.

Miami without Tua makes them attractive as my official NFL team. I’m going to wait this one out.

Proposed trade by Peter King of NBC:

“Miami trades defensive end Christian Wilkins, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, first-round picks in 2021 (third overall) and 2023, and second-round picks in 2021 and 2022 for Watson.

In essence, Miami is trading the 13th overall pick in 2019 (Wilkins) and the fifth overall pick in 2020 (Tagovailoa), plus two 1st's and two 2nd's for Watson. Advantage for Miami is the deal would leave the Dolphins with first-round and second-round picks this year and their first next year while giving them a quarterback to play on equal footing with Josh Allen in the AFC East for the next decade.”

Houston can say all they want they aren't trading him but his decision is pretty stable....he wants out. Don't drag this out Houston, get max value for Watson and move on.

He is losing one of his best WR's too

Let's break it down:

- Deshaun is upset that Houston hired their new GM by circumventing the committee they established to find one and Watson was a part of that group. To be fair he isn't the only one upset but is getting most of the headlines but the reputation of Houston being a team that wastes careers is getting a lot of ink.

- People who are supposed to be extremely knowledgable are now coming out and saying it is 50/50 that Houston and Watson separate.

- Houston is looking for a HC but honestly with the Watson drama it's going to be tough to land a coach especially with the draft issues that Houston faces. The only way to rectify that is to trade Watson and get some picks back and start rebuilding.

So do you see Watson leaving and who do you think lands him? I've read several scenarios and the one that makes the most sense is Miami because they have the cap space, currently own some of Houston's picks anyway and can put Tua in the deal. Miami would have to dig deep but for Watson it would be worth it.

Watson is a bitch.

this was the guy they wanted for like 3 years.

If he’s shocked by this hes

screw that. Make him retire. No one forced him to sign an extension.
