Deshaun Watson

Is there a huge amount of value for miami trading Tua and a one for Watson?
Miami will have to offer more than that, probably both their 1sts and a 2nd rounder plus Tua.

If not more.

I’m not finding the value for Miami to do that. That couldn’t have soured on Tua that much could they?

Reports are their FO isn't sure he'll pan out.

Watson gives them a franchise QB to go with their defense.

I think they can get away with one first, Tua and a 2nd the following year. If they go 2 firsts than I think the 2nd is off the board but a conditional 3rd or 4th would be added.

I’d assume it’d take both their firsts. Idk.
That seems like a lot for Watson. Especially considering Tua was a rookie last year. Miami would be giving up essentially 3 firsts for Watson plus who knows what else.

Watson is going to bring a huge return IMO, more than what you suggested.

Watson is worth it.

It’s a ton!

You're probably right unless this drags out longer into the off-season closing in on draft night, than I could see Houston caving on a lesser deal but still get a good haul.

I think this will get done pretty quickly....

Yeah but is Tua really worth a 1st at this point? When you think of giving up a 1st for a player now, it's usually a pro bowl player then some stars and superstars could be worth 2. I think Tua's value is definitely lower now imo.

I think if you just traded Tua straight up you could get a 2nd for him.

I'm not sure what Houston would ask for Watson but I'm sure they are starting at the top of the totem pole, like 4 or 5 1st's. I think 3 1st's along with a young QB or impact player could get it done but if other teams start joining in which I think could happen you could see them get like 4 1st's for him. I could see the Jets offering like 4 1st's + Darnold bc it's the Jets.

I think the offer could look like this:
Miami 1st 2021 #3
Miami 1st 2022
Miami 1st 2023
Miami 2nd 2022
Tua
