MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL Detroit Lions 🦁 @ Dallas Cowboys 🤠 on a Saturday Night edition of MNF.

70 told reporters that he didn’t tell the ref anything.

So why was he running up directly to the ref?

The ref definitely pointed directly at 70

They’re saying 68 WASNT covered up, and therefore eligible from where he was.

Honestly, I'm looking at that picture and even if 70 reported as eligible, I'm not sure he wasn't covered by the WR at the top of the screen.

The Lions Lioned the hell out of that 2-point conversion.
THREE times. Why not kick the XP at some point and try in OT. They just stopped us and then drove the field.

@broncosmitty is saying you can if you are at end of the line. Said the center could be eligible if at end of line. I didnt realize this if true.
The person snapping the ball cannot be an eligible receiver. Anyone can snap the ball, and a regular center could report as eligible assuming someone else snaps the ball on a given play, but there are two rules regarding the formation:

1) There has to be at least 3 players on either side of whomever is snapping the ball "on the line", for a minimum of 7 players on the line.
2) The only eligible receivers are the players furthest out from the ball.

If he is at the end of the line, outside the LT then he isn't the center. The center is in the center and who snap the ball.

If he wasn't covered, he's still ineligible because he's lined up at tackle. They're wrong.
These dorks are emphatic he was. They even broke it down on the green screen. Lol.

Sadly since Dallas didn't lose, McCarthy probably doesn't learn that you don't throw repeatedly when you have the ball and less than 2 minutes with the lead. You run, then run, then run, then kick/punt. Use up the timeouts, Mike!
He’s a pass happy SOB. If the dude would only commit more to the run

And I’m not a cowboys fan

that was a heck of a game; felt like playoffs.

And why were the Lions and 68 so subtle about checking in? I’m mean, the ref is going to go REPORT it to the defense anyhow.

Also, what reason does 70 have to run at the ref , get his literal POINTED FINGER and attention, and only then does 68 kinda subtly report in on the down low. Dumb

And don't forget even if the 2 point had succeeded, Dallas has timeouts and 23 seconds. Even taking a touchback on our own 25, that's well inside our kickers range. :dhd:

And Dan, your team just rode a massive roller coaster of emotion so why not kick the XP? Then they throw an INT but bailed out with an offsides. So why not an XP at that point?

McCarthy probably would have done something stupid even with a tied game.

Are we absolutely sure this isn’t the case: ???

• CIRCLE is off the line therefore not covering 68.
• the FIVE STRIPE linemen are ineligible.

• Therefore, 68 is eligible because five other guys are ineligible and 68 is at the end of his side.

yeah!
Now that I think about it.
We were robbed of a record long FG kick by our kicker!
Image result for pissed gif

refs gifting the boys a win when the eagles were rooting for them, you hate to see it...
