Did Mullen get a good deal at UNLV?

I’m betting they are trying to get in a better conference and rolling the dice.

SMU gave up all conference money for 2 years to get in the ACC which seemed crazy but it’s paid off and they were in the conference championship.

Of course they don’t have a money issue as the oil money is flowing in but if UNLV can land in a better conference with a better TV deal it then the move could pay off.

I’m betting someone behind the scenes is willing to step up if things hit the fan.
