Discussion: B12 CCG

That could happen -- it'd come down to essentially a coin flip between the 2 teams and who they think Georgia would have an easier time with. In all honesty -- I wouldn't care if they put Michigan 4, even if we win. I just want to be in the CFP.
Usually there is no difference as long as ya make it. But this year the way Georgia has looked, sure it’s great to make it but not being 4 is very much advantageous this year. But all’s UM has to do is win and they’ll be 2 or at worst 3. But I think the committee will put Cincy at 4 and make them play Georgia.

And the 2 vs 3 game would be in Arlington. So even as the no. 3 seed it would be a defacto home game for us. There will be a lot of orange in the stands this weekend. I can only imagine how much if we somehow manage to get a playoff game within driving distance of our fan base.
Yeah I think the committee would rather have Cincy play Georgia first and Junior play UM. That game sounds actually pretty damn good.

Yeah. Right now I'm just happy to be in the conversation at the end of November. But thinking about this being real, man no. 3 would be sweet. I don't think anyone beats Georgia but us Cincy and Michigan-any one of them could beat the other. We will probably get dropped by Baylor in heartbreaking fashion but fuck, if we are the first Big 12 team to win a playoff game and the squats are still looking for a coach, that would be better than sex.

If it is against Michigan -- I guarantee it won't be majority orange. UM has twice as many students as Okie State, giving them an alumni base that's also twice the size of Okie State. UM alumni also have large amounts of expendable cash from years of struggling. So they will be there in full force, even if the game is at Okie State

I Baylor’s QB back? Ether way I think Junior wins. Which likely vaults you up to 3. GL

There are a lot of OSU alumni already in the metroplex. They won't have to drive far. I see OSU stickers on a lot of cars when I visit the grandkids in the Keller/Southlake area.

Yep -- Okie is up to #5 -- ND is essentially out now, unless Okie State loses. If Georgia beats Bama and all others win -- it will be a coin flip on who 3 and 4 is, between Cincy and Okie State.
Here are the "current" resumes if both win. Cincy has five opponents with losing records. OSU has three but also has a loss. The conferences didn't do them any favors. Specifically SMU didn't finish well enough to help Cincy and they had some gawd awful conference teams this year. Iowa State not living up to par hurts the Cowboys and Texas...well, just Texas! And Boise not being their usual self didn't help them either. But this is the body of work the committee will have to look at assuming both win.

As long as Bama, Cincy and Michigan win I think we'll have an awesome playoff.

OU fans: Why does OSU hate us so much? We always root for you when you aren't playing us.

Its hilarious that neither of the supposed big shot teams that are abandoning the conference are playing in this game.

I hope both get their asses kicked in the SEC for years to come.

*Edit: it's also awesome to me that the cyclowns aren't one of the 2 (even more so with OU/TX not being in it). ISU was supposed to have their best team ever.:meh:

Sec is easier than the b12. Chump ass tamu proved that when we sent them over. Even MIZZOU won their division in year two.

Please don't blow this, Okie Lite. America is watching.

🤞

Some true, but how many SEC titles has Mizzou and A&M won? I'll wait...

Yep. Honestly no one expected Texas to be there. They have a culture problem and it will take a special coach to correct that. Mack did for a while but they have unrealistic expectations and a decade in the wilderness after he left hasn't changed that. That team completely quit on Sark and next year the same thing will happen. Maybe their next coach changes things but I have my doubts. Oklahoma was surprising but honestly it wasn't like they were that far off. They weren't dominant early and made a qb change midway through the season but they were in the playoff conversion a week ago. They dunk on us twice and things fall right and they are in. But that didn't happen and everything after that has been glorious.

The crazy thing is both are stuck here another year before the buyout gets affordable and both schools are completely screwed. Texas will be Texas next year and lucky to make a bowl. Oklahoma is going to hire a coach in over his head and suddenly we, who will return alot aren't scared of them. Plus Baylor and Iowa State aren't scared of them. The Big 12 is about to kick their teeth in before they bolt for greener pastures.

I see it and have seen it, but just can't believe it. It doesn't take much to make a bowl game. And this is the first season for Sark, right? How in the hell does a coach give up on his team and/or a team give up on their coach in the first damn season? I mean we ain't talking UConn or Southern Alabama. It's damn Texas.

Slightly soft generation of players, and if it’s obvious to us fans, it’s obvious to the players… the coach fails to keep on playing a winning formula in the second half of games that had Texas beating the top three b12 schools at halftime. Handily.
Good news? Players want to play and compete. Next year will be a new year. And 5-7 looks bad, but we did have those leads on all those teams. It’s not THAT dire.
