Dissecting the mess that is the 2020 Patriots

How much longer do you think Belichick coaches? He is 68 and with way Patriots are looking right now do you think he wants to stay around for a rebuild ?
I'd like to see him stick around for about 5 more losing record seasons.

Normally I'd say a team like the Pats would just sell the farm in order to get the player they want. I could see them tanking the rest of the way and getting a top5 pick. Hope that DAL, ATL, HOU, or NYG get the top pick and trade their entire 2020 draft for the #1 spot to get Trevor. That would cure all that ails the Pats. However, that isn't the patriot way since they rely on those young draft picks to develop and supplement their ways of not spending in FA.

So to me either Bill adapts his way and NE actually goes out and spends to fill some holes this offseason as well as does everything it can to get the #1 pick, or the rebuilding process is a drawn out one. The FA QB's in 21 aren't a stellar group, but I could see the pats rolling the dice on one or trying to land Zach Wilson at the 5th pick.

If Bill does decide to retire that organization is hosed. His preparation alone can get them 4 wins a year. There doesn't appear to be a lot of talent on that team so him walking away could be a few <4 win seasons.

They have 100 million in cap space next year. They will also have a ton of draft picks but the problem is Bill has to find somebody else to do the drafting because he is terrible at it.
Here's some trivia for you. Who is the last Patriots drafted player to make the Pro Bowl for the team in the last 10 years?
Meaning a guy bills drafted in that time.

I think Miami has Houston's first round pick this next draft.

Good luck getting the Dolphins to give that to the Patriots.

I always assumed the Pats were drafting well, that's how they always have cap space and are able to trade off their guys and not pay them.

Rock is a moron and he listens to too much shitty Boston sports talk radio while he's whiling the hours away down in shipping and receiving at Mars or Bust and Company.

New England didn't go to 10 of the last 20 SB's (winning 6) because BB sucks at drafting

20 years of getting the organization picked clean by the rest of the league because you have gone to half of the SB's in that time is tough.

Consistently picking at the low end of every draft round makes it even harder to come up with the top tier college talent. Add in the fact that everyone on a highly successful team wants to be paid at the top of their position scale and things get sketchy pretty quickly.

Miami is looking good! they are on an upswing & might be a playoff team with a top end draft pick!
Flores might end up COTY!

Shaq Mason was All Pro wasn't he? That's better than pro bowl to me, but yeah the drafting has been bad. At this point he should do like the Mavs and just use draft picks to make trades.
