Do any of you non Christians get offended when someone wishes you a Merry Christmas?

I'm a Christian, and I don't like it when people wish me a merry Christmas.

I HATE Christmas.
The Christmas freaks can take the whole month of December and shove it up their ass. Whoever made a big enough market for Christmas music to be a thing can kiss my ass. Probably boomers again.

No because I am not a liberal pussy.
Being a liberal pussy and a non Christian are not mutually exclusive.

I am one, but not the other.
Yes, there have been some in the past who took offense to “Merry Christmas” being used based solely on religion.
I say this as a non Christian.....they can fuck off.

But the true driver of wanting to do away with Merry Christmas and use Happy Holidays instead is political inclusivity, not religion. It’s always been a movement that says “there is more than one religious based holiday this time of year and we should be sensitive to that”.

To be clear....I am a non Christian who still uses Merry Christmas. If someone wants to correct me that they don’t celebrate Christmas I will change it to Happy Holidays without grumble. But I’m not fully embracing the inclusivity over something that’s become such a secular holiday anyway.

I hate the commercialism of Christmas. I hate that Christians adopted a bunch of pagan rituals and incorporated it into the celebration of Christ's birth [and often, it's a complete replacement - such that Christians don't even care about Christ on the celebration of Christ's birth].

If I had my way, there would be no gift exchanges or trees or lights or Santa or any of that crap; Christians would attend a Christmas service in the morning and congregate for a meal and fellowship thereafter - similar to Easter traditions. (Easter is my favorite holiday.)

I'm an atheist and I still put up a Christmas tree every year.
yea, Christmas isn't really a religious holiday anymore...

the other holidays seem more tied to their religion and haven't been so commercialized.

Christmas sold out.

Yep. It's all about tradition with the family. We don't do anything for Easter besides shop because the stores are usually empty in the morning.
