Do any of you non Christians get offended when someone wishes you a Merry Christmas?

Am I the only one that likes to say happy holidays when someone says merry Christmas to me and to say merry Christmas when someone says happy holidays to me?

I’m a big believer in doing whatever you want to do. Christian holidays are fun. The Christmas spirit is real news. So I don’t blame anyone who celebrates it (even if you’re not supposed to based on your beliefs 364 days of the year). If Hanukkah was fun everyone would celebrate that too.

There are nut jobs on both sides so I can understand someone considering themselves centrists or libertarians. It’s hard to maintain a hard right or hard left for too long without feeling some guilt eventually. If you don’t you might be a psychopath.

My buddy is self described “as far left as can be” who celebrates Christmas. Self awareness has never been his strength.

The next time will be the first. Jews don't advertise their holidays, even the bullshit ones.

No doubt there are some few militant atheists who get pissy about anything non-secular, and Christianity is a big fat target. But the vast majority of the time, no one cares about what has become an almost entirely commercial holiday. Most of the time I hear stories about people "offended" during Christmas times, it's invariably some asshole faux Christian who is bent out of shape over not getting more than a week off, or the color of Starbucks' cups.
