When I first met my wife her parents kept a parrot in that small divider room some homes have between the entrance from the garage and the kitchen. Maybe 10 feet of space from there to the kitchen and this parrot would just shit like machine gun shits during dinner while everybody ate - and nobody gave a shit. It’s was unreal and disgusting. I couldn’t believe it and obviously had no appetite to eat as this parrot shit ten feet away from me. And it was everywhere. All over the cage, on the floor etc...
“Don’t like your steak?” her dad asked. “Not sure you have a fucking parrot shitting literally right there.” I didn’t actually say that but that was my tone.
Eventually somebody in the house got sick (imagine that - eating all your meals ten feet from a parrot shitting everywhere - and getting sick eventually) and they got rid of it. I still rip on my wife about it. “It was totally normal we never even thought about it.”

Male birds are prettier than female birds. So it’s probably the opposite.
If I owned a Parrot I'd use him more like a palm pilot than a pet. I'd teach him to say Public Service Announcements, things like , ...
"In case of an earthquake stand in a doorway, bbbro0cckk". Or,
"Nobody has freckles on their ass; use a condom, bbbro0cckk".
