Obviously, Lawrence is out of the question but they have scouting these top 5 guy pretty hard from rumors. I don't think Wilson or Fields is out of the question but I just have this feeling they are going to go after this Mac kid. Not particularly a fan but he is the Tom Brady prototype, very accurate, good footwork and good decision-maker (even though he had some many weapons around him), more mobile than Brady and underrated athletically no burner by no means. I also don't think Justin Fields is out of the question but I think they would have to trade up for Fields or Wilson from the 15th spot.

The last QB they drafted in the 1st round was in 1993, Drew Bledsoe, and that was with the #1 overall pick. The last QB they drafted in the 1st round that wasn't #1 overall was Tony Eason in 1983.

No way they'll ever replace a QB like Drew Bledsoe via the draft.

Peyton Manning was the only QB in our lifetime worth a first-rounder. It's just too uncertain.

And soon-to-be Baker Mayfield

They could be desperate

NE is in line to get a bunch of premium compensatory picks to add to a package and other teams tend to drink a big gulp of stupid juice when trading with New England so absolutely possible

A lot of scouts are saying the Mac Jones is a great fit for NE. It wouldn't be a bad pick and he should be available.
