In the good old days, maybe. Nowadays these kids are focusing on one sport year round from the 6th or 7th grade on, especially the extremely tall basketball dorks that don't have any athletic ability outside of being a stork.

I realize that many hockey families have the kids in camps year round as well, but the average hockey player has way more multi-sport talent than the jumpers do.

Most basketball players, overall, are far more gifted as athletes, than hockey players

Agree, These schools bringing old players back with zero coaching experience will help recruiting. Yeah they may get a few recruits but when you can’t coach for shit it’s not sustainable. Beilein is just up the road in the Pistons front office so it’s not totally out of the question but he’s 69 and wondering if he’s officially done coaching
