With exceptions of course many of the top NBA athletes are some of the top athletes in the world.

Plenty of them could have played in other leagues if they had focused on that sport. The reverse is rarely true.

I'm not sure how you'd quantify that.

I'd assume that most athletes from other sports couldn't play basketball because of their height, but I wouldn't say that it's because of a lack of athleticism.

I'm not claiming what you're saying isn't true, I just don't see how it could be proven out.
