Former top players rarely make successful coaches. As for Howard the jury is still out because the guy inherited a program that had been at the top for a decade and he has benefitted from players that were already in the pipeline or just coming because it’s Michigan so the jury is still out. Michigan is expected to be in the tournament and compete so let’s see if he can maintain that over a long period.

Maybe he does maybe he doesn’t but doesn’t change the fact the college ADs and presidents are idiots. That is proven over and over.

I watched MJ suck at baseball and he sucks at golf. It's cute that you think he's some great multi-sport talent though.

Basketball players a bunch of pussies that by and large play the game because they are very, very tall.

At no point did I even mention Jordan. I just said the NBA has some of the best athletes in the world and many of them could have succeeded in other sports.

If MJ had concentrated on baseball he would have been in MLB.

How many of those guys could have been WR or TEs in the NFL? Plenty.

The moves they make on the court and speed they play at is incredible.

I’m sorry but there aren’t many NHL guys that would’ve made it in the NFL.

For the record golf is a game of skill not a sport.

He has had two issues one at Tenn and one at Auburn:

At Auburn, he wasn't only cleared by the NCAA but the FBI as well. Chuck Person acted alone and for his own enrichment and he did jail time for what he did.

At Tenn he had a cookout at his house with some players and a recruit (which would have been a secondary violation at the time if had fessed up but instead he tried to hide it and got nailed for lying) and that isn't even a violation today because the rule was so stupid.

So yeah he lied once about cooking some guys a couple of burgers.

MJ can shoot low 80s in golf and beat you. And he went straight to AA and hit what .200? Terry Franconia was his manager sparky and said he would have made it with more time.

He recorded a private phone call with where he got Deon Thomas to say he had received an SUV from Illinois to sign. Now that phone call was illegal in Illinois since only one party had given permission to record the call. Also, Thomas denied that he had received an SUV and he had said that to get rid of Pearl. Pearl turned in the tape, but the investigation turned up other violations in the Illinois program(no angels there). Pearl ended up on a silent blacklist and couldn't even get hired as an assistant.

Now to his point i do know some black bball players over the years that were awesome players and athletes. But the couldn’t swim and it was funny as hell. MOST blacks folks on ice skates or in the ocean is one of the funniest on this earth
