My mom has already passed, but her and my dad will be buried together in a veterans cemetery. They do a fantastic job! Will: Yes. Cash, CD's, and real estate split 50/50 to my daughter and son.
They can barter over the smaller stuff. I figure my boy will end up payer her off with his cash. I know she don't want this 25 acres, implements, or my guns, but he does.
Burial: Military honors at Omaha National Cemetery.
My dad's already there. My mom will be joining him in his plot when it's her time.

Agreed. I take some comfort that my Mom's grave is well taken care of. Its laid out similar to Omaha's and the stones have to conform to their standards. You can leave flowers and certain tributes but they inspect all graves the first and 3rd Wednesday of each month and remove everything to keep it clean and tidy. I usually leave a quarter on top of her stone because I would rather leave something that isn't going to be thrown away. They will remove it but someone is going to use itThey're incredibly meticulous.
They rejected my dads headstone twice (for minor defects) before they finally accepted and placed the third one.
I had a plot at a regular cemetery (discounted through VFW) until they built this National Cemetery about 10 years ago.
I sold that other plot and will be placed at Omaha National. It's simply maintained to the highest level.
We put flowers on my grandparents graves (in a regular cemetery) on Memorial Day.
We have to trim around the headstones, wash the dirt off, etc. I've even had to level two of them because they'd sunk into the ground a bit. The cemetery said they'd do it for $300 or I could do it myself. I lifted it with a crowbar and tossed some sand underneath. There are a lot of graves with the headstones neglected.
Omaha National would never let that happen.
Amen brotherWill. Yes. Everything does to wife and kids.
Burial. Creamate me and don’t even take the ashes. My soul is in heaven. My ashes deserve to return to the earth like God intended
That's not an easy investment you are eager to makeWill, yes …50/50 for my two sons. Burial site will be Fairview Cemetery in Rushville, Nebraska the place that I worked at during the summers of my high school and early college years. More importantly it’s where my family/ancestors are buried. I don’t have plots bought yet…. Thought about it for a few years but just don’t have the urge yet….
Don't worry, the Mormons are the only ones getting in.I have to admit that right now I am feeling a little nervous surrounded by a bunch of Husker fans and Pete. I hope Heaven isn't like this
You better not be wasting my time...you got Quisp?I am leaving my collection of vintage cereals to @Hu War Yu
Hank do you have a place you want your ashes spread?$$ in order.
Fuck burials. Burn me. Never been to a cemetery to see any relatives interred. They're dead, what's to see? I can think about them anywhere. Not interested in talking to worm food.
Hank do you have a place you want your ashes spread?
