Did he say the MLBPA agreed to it? Because the clubs agreeing to it doesn't mean a thing right now.
 
Also my team is in the middle of a tank, maybe one more season so I'm fine if they start this new draft lotto in 2023. :evil:

No but they are in favor of it. That and Playoff expansion both sides have been agreeing needs to happens

It’s good for us. We’re stuck with Ozuna and he does not need to have a glove anywhere on the field. Soler wasn’t near the defensive liability Ozuna was

DH seems easy sell for MLBPA (more jobs) but not sure how the draft helps them. Maybe chance to get best players on better teams.

The idea is teams won't tank to get a better pick but that's not as big an issue in baseball because just one player won't turn a franchise around like it will in other sports.

ARod was in Texas for three years and they couldn't even finish better than last place in their own division.
 
Think they’re also getting rid of of the draft pick compensation for teams losing players that rejected a qualifying offer. That’s a good move. That really hurt a lot of FA players that rejected the offer

Yes, that is a HUGE win for the players. Also for smaller market teams that needed those picks.
 
Classless move for classless teams. Has the fingerprints of the Yankees and Red Sox all over this.

More inflated strikeout and home run records. Yay. :rolleyes:
