Dumbest play you’ve seen live., on tv or in person. .. and your reaction?


I’ll set the bar with:

Ehlinger throwing the ball away on 4th down on the last drive of the game while losing.
Me screaming at the top of my lungs: “WHAT THE FUCK DID MY MEXICAN BROWN EYES JUST SEE!” and then having to apologize to the room for my way over the top ranting.

I was gonna say Reggie Ball throwing the ball away out of bounds on 4th down against UGA in the early 2000s lol.

My on topic answer. Yeah it was recent, but watching it live I was wondering what the dumbass was thinking but then it just kept getting better and better. Until that point they had all the momentum, after that Arky couldn't buy a good play.

If he jus looked left he would see 3 WR's and 2 defenders. :pound:

Yeah I was thinking that one from the NFL, or when Brady didn't realize it was 4th down and threw it away this season.

This one. Glad I didn’t have to look it up.
 
1992 Kansas @ Iowa State. The Cyclones had a 4th and long on the Kansas 29, and they punted! That was back before that end-zone was bowled, and there was a howling wind, so FGs were iffy at best. Of course, the ball went into the end-zone and came out to the 20. KU marched down the field, scored and started their amazing comback to pull out a 50-47 win or something like that.

Probably the 2014 Bahamas Bowl, CMU-WKU.

Chips trail 49-14 at the start of the 4Q. Score 34 unanswered pts and obvs have all of the momentum.

But instead of kicking the XP and going to OT, CMU went for 2, didn’t get it, WKU wins. Fkn idiots. :tsk:

NFL - Browns playing KC. End of game, KC trailing by 2 but way back in their own territory. 4th down, last play of the game . . .

Sack-fumble recovered by the offense and is running down the field; tackled to end the game . . .

EXCEPT - Dwayne Rudd, who sacked the QB, had removed his helmet - - - 15 yard penalty extends the game, KC kicks the FG to win.
