Going to Washington was probably the worst possible spot he could have gone to. For one they are a terribly run organization, and two, it was too close to home, which I don't think helped. Too much distraction, with all that money on top of it. I don't think he was as bad as he looked in Washington, it was just a bad fit, given his best attributes. Pittsburgh was the perfect landing spot. He would have had a chance to play there at some point, and they are much better top down as an organization.

Washington was such a shitshow when he was a rookie. Basically all of his offensive talent and coaching staff was either hurt or fired by like week 10, and the rest of the organization was a joke. It wasn't a logical choice the year he was drafted for Pittsburgh to jump up and grab him, but had he started there from the get go I think things definitely could have gone differently.

Yeah you got the better of me in those old debates obviously, but I would've loved to see what Haskins could've been if he would've kept his head on straight. The talent was obviously there, but obviously this is the worst case scenario. By all accounts he was a good kid, just immature and filthy rich, which can be a horrible combination.

It was the most boring job in the world. Company made aluminum cans and every now and then they would get defective batches sent back. I'd have to go through the bundles one can at a time and throw away the defective ones. Just awful but it paid $12 tax free to a 16 year old in the 90s. Lot better than my friends' minimum wage jobs at 5.15 an hour

I worked with my dad in the summers when i visited him in Baltimore.. He would add me to a group that was re-doing the parking lot in College Park.. right across from the football stadium. I would use the jackhammer to break up concrete and asphalt. I learned a lot and as hard as it was for being 15.. i got paid $600 every friday, tax free.. not too shabby
