Bookie:
$ 1,000.00
Maui is set.

Great field per usual.

Battle 4 Atlantis set. UL/IU is a good matchup. Can both teams lose?

not a tournament, but it looks like there isn't going to be a Hall of Fame Classic in Charlotte this year

nothing has been announced yet and their website still lists 2023's event.

edit:

looks like its going to take place in Vegas, Phoenix, Baltimore and NYC.

Isn't there some type of event at the Greensboro Coliseum this year? I think maybe Michigan has a game there?

Michigan vs Wake Forest on Nov 10th. already have my tickets

not a tournament, just a "neutral" site game

fun fact: Wake Forest played all their ACC home games at the Greensboro Coliseum from 1959-1989

and tbh, even tho I live in High Point, i have started to prefer going down to Charlotte for games as opposed to going to the Coliseum. the area around the Coliseum just fucking sucks. its the worst area in Greensboro.

Charlotte's pretty awesome, tbh. go to the game and then go bar hopping. fun time.

Gotcha. Should be a good one.

Hoping the Gophers get the Deacs in a game down in Orlando. I don't think we'll win, but it'll be fun. Lol.

You get to any High Point games living so close? They had a pretty good year last year and should be good again this season. Their coach is pretty good.

i went to a game late last season. their arena is brand new + pretty nice. i live about two miles away from the university. i plan on going to a ton of HPU games this upcoming season.

i think they're going to do pretty well long term because their school president is putting a lot of money into their sports programs. it's a little insane, tbh. you visit the university and it feels like the entire campus was built five years ago. feels new, but it isn't. wouldn't be shocked if they start running the Big South the same way Davidson used to run the SoCon. has to one of the better mid/low major jobs out there.

i'm interested in how UNCG does. they haven't fallen off a complete cliff like i expected after Miller left. won 21 games last year and finished 2nd in the SoCon.

should be a fun year for hoops in the area. will definitely go to a lot of Wake, HPU and UNCG games. Elon blows, so they aren't worth discussing.

I watched a couple HPU games because they had a Gopher transfer. For being a Big South team, they were rated pretty high, considering how teams in that league typically rate. I do think they will run away with the Big South this year.

And yeah UNCG has had a real nice 7/8 year stretch going back to Miller. SoCon has always been one of my favorite conferences to follow. Even Western Carolina was good the last couple seasons under Deac legend Justin Gray. I have no clue where they are in relation to HPU or UNCG geographically, but it was another quality NC team. I think he'll do good things at Coastal.

Western is probably close to four hours away. App is less than two hours away and they had a pretty good season, too. they lost their best players to the portal tho. including my man Spillers.

i'm 30 minutes away from Wake, 70 minutes away from UNC, 65 minutes away from Duke, 80 minutes away from NCSU, 5 minutes away from HPU, 20 minutes away from UNCG, 75 minues away from UNC Charlotte and 80 minutes away from Davidson

a lot of decent hoop options for me that are reasonably close by

Damn, that's pretty nice. My closest big time program is MD and that's still about 2 hours away. Mt. Saint Mary's is the closest school to me, and I've gone and seen them a bunch, but that's the bottom of D1. Even their good teams were still 16 seeds in the tournament.

Where are you relative to UMBC or Towson? Sounds like you live in Maryland

I'm also only 40 minutes away from Elon, but they suck. Can't recall them ever being good

I'm about an hour and half from UMBC and about an hour 15 from Towson. The Mount is like 20 minutes for me. I'm in Southern PA. About 10 minutes from the Mason/Dixon line. Happy Valley is about 2 and a half for me. Then all the Philly schools roughly that as well.

Drake runs a pretty neat offense. Miami having trouble guarding them right now. Drake sits at 124 in KenPom and they look a lot better than that.

Drake handles Miami wire to wire.

@rmilia1 you gonna get to any games? They legit look like a fun team to watch given the style. Didn't even shoot it well and still won going away.

Let's. Go.

They do an increasingly poor job of advertising these.

It's hard to tell who is in what tourney and who is playing who. Even for a relatively hardcore cbball fan it's hard to tell who is playing in what

Like what the hell is Players Era and where did that come from? But it's one of the bigger tourneys.
