Elon Musk becomes Twitter's largest shareholder

Elon out there, living the dream. "If I had enough money I'd buy controlling interest and then fire someone!". And he's out there about to actually do it.

I just can't evar figger this guy out.

Imagine yourself at 17 years old but with an unlimited amount of money. That seems to be how he rolls, and I'm so fucking jealous. Except for his baby momma this guy makes great decisions in life.

Him & Hunter share the same one? :hmm:

LOL. Too bad it's a shitty investment to actually get controlling interest. Musk's power is substantial, but I doubt he'd throw away $20 billion just to make a point about "free speech" or something.

Is it that much? I could see him shaking things up and then divesting and recovering most if not all. I agree he won't be burning $20b, or even $2b over something childish. But I could see him burning a few million to fuck someone over.

Yeah, something like that. He spent $3 billion to get 9.2%, and with market cap and share price, it'd be about $20 billion. He already made a couple hundred million in value, so it could be higher, as the share price goes up and liquidity goes down.

It's not that Twitter is a losing investment, but the amount of time to get ROI would be immense. The guy would almost be better off launching rockets or digging holes in the California desert.

It's just funny to me....twitter is a cesspool of stupid opinions and yet the argument is the opinions aren't stupid enough?

Yes...we'd like our president to not lead through social media...because it's fucking bizarre. Outside of that....

What now?
He even owns a restaurant... Say what you will, but after just a couple scrolls it's clear this guy works for Twitter crafting ToS as modding, had a gig working backstage at the Oscars, AND owns a restaurant. He's an impressive man.
