Movie Elvis (2022)

Still on the fence as to whether I'll watch this one. Watched Top Gun Maverick last night. Holy shit was that ever good!
Yes, Top Gun was great and if you are an Elvis fan you will love that movie.

It was ok because of the Elvis music. Also Tom Hanks did a great job portraying a slimeball.

Other than that, it's a forgettable movie.

Comme ci, comme ça.

Tom Hanks was the only negative from the movie.

I guess we have a different opinion on this movie.
Remember when you worked yourself up about Elvis' box office pull compared to Maverick's? That was hysterical.

Elvis has been dead for over 40 years and the movie did very well at the box office. You were the one that compared these two movies. I saw Top Gun Maverick too and enjoyed that movie. You need to get over your hatred for Elvis.

Nah. It started with the "Elvis is King at the box office" nonsense you posted.

He's the king of the box office about as much as he wrote his songs, which is to say not at all.

I don't hate Elvis. He's just wildly overrated.

Overrated? He is the king of rock n roll. He brought black music into the mainstream at a time of racial discrimination in the country. He was friends with BB King and spent most of his early years jamming with black artists on Beale St.

okay boomer
I was born 3 years after Elvis died. My parents were big fans of his and had almost every album he ever recorded. I grew up listening to his music.
