EPL 2022/2023

Wonder how much Weston McKennie is rethinking his move to Leeds now.
Probably happy. Anywhere but Juventus right now. Marsch just wasn't cutting it, just like at Leipzig. He was cutting it when he had Haaland at Salzburg. MLS or USA National Team here we come.

Sad state of affairs for USA players in Europe continues, especially Adams and Aaronson. Adams got run of Leipzig and not much at Leeds either unless you like conservative sideways or backwards passes. Aaronson has underachieved since just after start of season. Dest just got benched for UCL in Italy. Pulisic barely gets a minute. Only Reyna flying high now. Maybe they will get the new coach boost like Everton. I don't know.

Wasn’t adams playing left back at Leipzig, from my very anecdotal analysis. Leeds supporters really like adams and his role in the midfield. He’s all over the place in their games.
He should be fine going forward.
Pulisic can’t stay healthy and should look to move. Of course all of Chelsea’s attack sucks ass so hasn’t helped.

Adams is a defensive midfielder. He is not bad, but the propaganda via USA media he is the greatest thing since Swiss Cheese. He started getting benched last year over others at Leipzig in second half last season. I am sure Leeds like him until they get relegated. Go back to World Cup and watch Memphis first goal and see how lazy he was (#4) in highlight below. If you want a goal or shot out of him, you are more likely to get struck by lightning.

Yeah that was one moment though in what has been a pretty solid run of form in the CDM role, he is a ball winner. He is not a box to box midfielder and has never advertised himself as such. Look at Chelsea, without Kante we have been shit, I wasn’t expecting him to have a ripper, when he did score though it made my heart melt with his adorable man child smile.

if adams keeps up his current form he will find offers from other clubs, especially if they get relegated someone will go snag him.

For sure. I was just thinking there was probably some USA tie with the manager and some of their playing staff that convinced Weston to sign on. I know hes been rumored to be a Spurs target for a little while now, but don't think we've ever made serious inquiries.

I don't think Marsch is that great a coach, so he would be perfect for the USA National Team. His only hope for Europe job now is a smaller team and not in EPL for sure.

Again playing opponent after manager sacked never good as Manchester United found out like Arsenal did last week. Lucky to scrape out a draw today.

Relegation battle should be an interesting one. If i had to bet money, my 3 would be Southampton, Bournemouth, and Leeds.

I think Dyche-ball will see Everton stay up and Wolves, West Ham, and Leicester are just too talented to drop. Forest would be my other real candidate, but they have found some really good form recently. That -18 goal differential tells the story of how bad they had been previously.

40 points is always the magic number it seems.

I agree. Southhampton and Bournemouth doomed but real tight. There is no Norwich this year that is way down. I think it is between Everton and Leeds for last spot. Everton did nothing in the Transfer window. Leeds will get some bounce from McKennie. Forest brought in enough to stay up, especially Navas. They got Chris Wood from Newcastle to help the offense. Wolves made a good coaching change. I am really shocked West Ham this bad.

West Ham's struggles should be getting more press. If it weren't for Liverpool and Chelsea being so bad, i think the Hammers' struggles would be right at the top of the story line. Gotta wonder of Moyes finds himself on the hot seat before too long.

You and me both brother. I didn't expect anything outrageous like Top 4, but West Ham should be comfortably in the top 8-10 by now.

It's a weird season. I get losing to the likes of Arsenal, City, etc, but they keep shitting the bed against teams they should beat, like Brentford and Palace
I think Moyes has until the rest of the season, then....

Also, there is Daniel Kretinsky, a Czech billionaire on the board now with the potential to buyout the remaining owners which
could happen. Sullivan and crew have never been liked or wanted by Hammers fans, and Gold recently died, so we'll see.

VAR, as usual was horrible this weekend. I really can't understand why/how the English fuck it up so much.
The other Leagues use it, but you never here about this kind of shit in LaLiga, Serie A or Bundesliga.

And the Arsenal slide continues.
4 in a row now. Man U will probably pass them soon. Man Ten Haag sure got Rashford out of his funk.

Chelsea shut out by Southampton. Potter has to be sacked tomorrow. $600 million going down the drain. lol.
