EPL 2022/2023

Graham Potter death watch lol? Chelsea may not make Top 6 even.

Ok the FA Cup is officially weird. Win you move on, tie you have to play again? I was watching Liverpool Wolves and thinking I am getting penalty kicks and nada. Replay in two weeks. I must have been confused with the Bundesliga: tie, extra time, penalty kicks, no second chance.

Yeah, its a weird setup. The League Cup used to be the same way in regards to replays. I wanna say in 2020 they did away with replays and ties went straight to pens? But I don't recall exactly.

The replay thing is potentially a nice bump for lower division teams. If they can force a draw at their place, the replay is at the bigger club's home stadium and the two teams split the gate.

Pulisic out 2 months, but he is irrelevant at Chelsea anyways. Felix being loaned to Chelsea (aka the next Ronaldo 3 years ago lol).

Big EPL weekend. Manchester Derby on Saturday. NLD on Sunday.

Chelsea today and Felix debuts with a red card lol and another Chelsea loss. Was Potter really the man after a few weeks of overachieving at Brighton? What a mess.

Things are lining up really nicely for Spurs to hire Potter in about a year when Conte leaves

Is Man City worse with Haaland? 2 losses in a row.! Man U and Rashford on fire. Ten Haag looks now to maybe be the right man,

What is Klopp excuse today? 3-0 loss? Outshot 16-6? Out possessed 62% to 38%? EPL is wild this year, You can say BHA was maybe the players and not Potter as much too,

Reserving my seat on this fail train. Lloris can sit next to me.
Anyone catching Arsenal? They have Man U this weekend and still 2 with Man City, but the followers need to stop dropping points.

Italian man bad!
Conte with levy seemed like a terrible decision.

I think there's a mix of things going on. The surprisingly excellent way they ended last season significantly raised fan expectations heading in to this season. For a squad that finished 6th and 7th in back to back seasons to jump up and go 4th was a big step. I think we are seeing a bit of a regression to the mean for a squad that still has significant holes that need to be filled.

Secondly, I don't think anyone could have predicted the poor display Son has been showing all season. Everyone knew Lloris was trending down, but I don't think many expected his dropoff to be so stark either. Don't think soccer has a version of WAR or +/-, but I'd imagine those two are deeply negative.

If they can get a result against Man U, then i think it's theirs to lose. I still fully expect to see City make a charge, but i gotta hand it to the Gooners, they're playing fantastic this season.

Lloris has got to go.
Were Spurs looking at Yann Sommer? Bayern snatched him up yesterday after Neuer ski accident. Appears he may be starting today.

Seems the 2 keepers on Spurs' list are Pickford and Raya.

Major penalties handed down to Juventus, Allegri, and Paratici today. Still unclear how that might affect Paratici's work status in EPL, but could potentially be a major blow to Spurs. And just when they were really flying too haha.

Chelsea Liverpool 0-0 helps no one. Dreadful.
