EPL 2024/2025

Finally: Lopetegui reputation taken a big hit last few years. Game is passing him by. Back to La Luga mid table team.
I really don't understand how guys like him keep getting jobs.

That said, hopefully they will give Potter time, he's a good manager, but will need some time to get things righted.

Potter joined Chelsea at the worst possible time so I agree also he is a good coach.

Potter is a quality manager. Chelsea was both the wrong fit for the point he was in his career, it was also just terrible timing with how things were in that club at that time.

Yep, and he's admitted it was a mistake to go there. Problem was, he needs time to build etc, and Chelsea, like most of the Top 5-6 teams have a "results now" mentality and never really gave him a chance, but also, Chelsea is a dumpster fire as far as how it's ran, other than huge money, don't see why any quality manager would go there.

Also, Moyes back at Everton, good for him.

yeah good for Moyes and Everton i think. Quality coach and they need someone good to make sure they stay up.

He was their most successful, or at least most consistent manager in their history, always Top 4-5 and a tough nut to crack. His mistake was going to ManU right after Alex Ferguson. Everton have more resources now than his first stint, and with the new stadium they should do well. I like the Potter hiring, but I would've been fine with Moyes staying.

It's early but West Ham look night and day from before Potter, organized, paced, and creative.

And get a win. Loved how City blew a 2 goal lead. Forest I tell you, Nuno doing one hell of a job. Forest has scored first in 17 of 21 EPL games. Brutal on the counter attack.

Liverpool fans blowing it off, acting like it's meaningless, forgetting that 1) Forest has taken 4 out of 6 points from them this season, including a win at Anfield, 2) back in the 70s/80s when Liverpool were dominant the one team they could never dominate was Forest, Graeme Souness has talked about that a few times 3) acting like they don't have a history of blowing the league in the last 40 years.

Yup. 1979 European Cup the two went at it in 2 legs. Forest took Liverpool out the competition and won the Cup. If they had won yesterday would have been first time since 1963 they beat Liverpool twice in same season. Almost/

FYI, if you ever get a chance, The City Ground is a great place for a match, one of the best if not the best atmospheres in the England, certainly in the EPL.

I was listening to game on Sirius driving home from work and the mentioned what a great place it is for a match. One of the best.

This will help City for sure. Why City? Ugh!! Need younger and faster players. Too bad Frankfurt selling. Not good for the Bundesliga. Early in the season he tore up Bayern in 3-3 tie. Even though it benefits Bayern, would love to have a crack at Frankfurt with him still. Also, Frankfurt absolutely destroyed Bayern with him last year 5-1.

Who goes first Ange or Nuri at Dortmnd this week?

I think maybe Ange stays until the rest of the season, who else would they get.

He's found out the hard way that Spurs ain't Celtic with no competition.

Spurs stink right now. Hard to blame Ange too much because there isn't a ton he can do when the entire first team 11 is injured.

I hope they stick with him, but at this point i wouldn't be surprised if they let Ange go. Problem is there is no magic wand to fix their issues. They could bring in Pep and he would struggle because the team still has the ridiculous injury list.

Hoping and praying the front office actually gets off their ass and brings in a couple players to help.

I could actually see him leaving instead of getting fired. Even Pep, Klopp, Ancelotti, etc couldn't do much better. It all comes back to Levy and the board.

Yep, they left him well short of the needed roster. Then when the injuries start it's just a snowball effect because it forces you to play everyone a lot more minutes than you planned to. Bodies eventually break down.

Even the players who have avoided injury look a shell of their former selves.

This season is a wash for Spurs...provided they can nut up enough to avoid an actual relegation battle. I'm patient enough to say Ange stays and give him next year. But it's gotta be a "show me" year for Ange and the team.

New nickname in England for Ange:

ange posteNOCLUE.

Arsenal still need a striker. Have until tomorrow. Havertz sure ain’t it. Wtf was that???
