expect to see more i formations against Bama this year...

Interesting day when Alabama is copying an idea from Tennessee.

I think Nick's either losing it, or he thinks Bama fans buy this.....

"Their receivers are like 2 yds from the boundary, and 35 yds away is actually the ball, and the center, and the rest of the formation."

A football field is appx 53.3 yds wide. That would put the ball 25 yds away from the receiver, no?

Even so, if you see a formation (particularly in the red zone) that you know your defense won't recognize (I-formation), don't you call time out and try to get their heads straight?

Nick knows the I-formation. Nebraska beat him (50-10) in 1995 and (55-14) in 1996 with it.

I'm not sure that's a good example of him knowing it if he lost to it by 40+ points

That’s what happens when the head coach has gotten old, senile and can’t coach anymore.

Ya hate to see it.

Dude needs to hurry tf up and retire already. Bama returning to “the dark days” (or whatever tf it’s called) can’t come soon enough.

Never really understood the whole “Dabo to Bama” thing. For CFB’s sake, I hope it never happens.

Saban got outcoached. It's been happening for a while now, but because Bama players are so elite it generally doesn't show.

Among the many things I admired about Bear Bryant was his willingness to state when he'd been outcoached, but we never see that from Saban.

Well I think he meant other teams will be using the app formation against Alabama.

So you need to change your statement to, “you never thought you’d see the day where other teams were copying Tennessee.”

Jus sayin’

If only there weren't these things called hash marks...

The hash marks are 40 feet or 13-1/3 yards apart...which means there are 20 yards on either side of the hash marks. Since the WR's are playing extremely wide, most WR throws are to the boundary...meaning the next play is run from that hash...meaning the WR lined up on the opposite boundary is indeed 33 yards away...rounding and all that.
