TV Series Fallout

Show is trash. Couldn't even make it halfway through before dropping it. Amazon and their shows continue to suck.

Woke overboard with the casting galore and now the main character is a lesbian getting married to another woman. This show is a woke joke.
I really do recommend you actually watch the show rather than take the YouTube critics at face value. There are some small woke aspects (the VERY MINOR trans character, for example), but as someone who is very annoyed by overly woke Hollywood and believe it needs to be called out where it exists, this is not a show that needs to be OVERLY called out. Lucy is not a Mary Sue. She is a relatively well written character in the genre of the game. Maximus never once raises his fist or fights for black rights. An interracial marriage is not evil incarnate.

Watch for yourself and judge for yourself.

I don't even remember them mentioning whether the trans character is trans. It was just like, here's a character who appears to be a butch woman.

GI Jane type shit, or something.

I didn’t even notice until I picked up on them being referred to as “they.” That character has about 2 minutes of total screen time. If that’s really someone’s hang up with the show, they really need to look inward.

And I'm still pretty confused about the main character being a lesbian who marries a woman line.

wtf?

I haven't watched any YouTube videos or critics on it. I tried watching yesterday and it was horrible.

and as a fun twist the trans character immediately self-harms. :dhd:

Because of the cousins thing?

Weird thing to confuse. lol
It's as close to her being a lesbo as I could get. I thought he line later in the show to Maximus was pretty funny, just from the casual nature of it. :noidea:

Seems everyone’s just confused because of the things you said you have a problem with two of them are just straight up not accurate to the point of the only explanation is you didn’t watch, and the third thing is so minor it’s a weird thing to be hung up on regarding watchability.

A chick has a mustache and you wonder? Really?

Besides, the elder refers to “them” as “them”.

I already talked about this character earlier in this thread. I don’t want to harp on it. I was just mentioning that the character existed.

The takes you brought up here make no sense. It can’t be possible you were watching the same show the rest of us watched. Where was the main character (Lucy, I assume you are referring to) ever lesbian? And when did she marry another woman? Are you sure you were on Prime and not Pornhub?

Funny, but actually, a good point.

They didn’t do the woke thing of giving a “protected person” impenetrable plot armor. They made that person “damaged” and not someone you would actually want “in your foxhole”.

Pretty much the exact opposite of “woke”.

While conversely, turning one of the early bullies in the show actually a really good character who had depth and will likely become a bigger character in future seasons.

I think that is part of what I enjoyed the most, having not played the games I have no idea what will happen next and what characters will stick around. But I see a lot of options for how future seasons can go. Characters that showed up and then stepped out mid-season, weapon/armor abandoned but the part to fix it still exists, and I'm pretty sure I can guess what Cooper is looking for. Excited to see future seasons, I rank this right up there with The Witcher. I haven't played a second of that video game series either but enjoyed all the seasons. Will be interesting to see if a new Geralt can work out.

The show is its own stand alone story. While still being full canon to the game universe. It isn’t telling a story that was already told in a game. It is almost like a new game of its own.
