Fan in Denver calls Lewis Brinson the N Word

calm down everyone, she said tiggers.

They couldn't guess at an angle there?

My guess is that someone that she knows in the community was forced to take down a flag (one without Tigger) where the same "community standard" related reasons were cited. Possibly this woman with the Tigger flag was (believed to be) involved somehow.

pretty insane story

did people really think that a dude was bold enough to yell the n word loud enough that the camera would be able to pick up?

and:

Brinson is a career -2.5 fWAR player. If he's one of the hardest working guys you know then..uhhh. ouch.

There sure are a lot of butthurt wokies on twitter who are upset that this guy didn't turn out to be the racist they all wanted him to be. Just more evidence that the demand for racism is far greater than the dwindling supply.

Everyone's claiming he's saying "Dinger" because he was facing Dinger the Dino.

I think that happened if for nothing else Bob Nightengale is so insistent someone said the N word and he's wrong about 95 percent of the time.
Bob Nightengale's apology was brutal. "I HAVE SEEN THE RACISM MUH FRIENDS HAVE EXPERIENCED, SO THIS WAS SO EASY TO BELIEVE! I HATE SOCIETY!!!"

Fuck off, Bob. You slandered a grandfather that was just trying to get his grandchildren a picture with the Rockies mascot.

Always found it funny people lose their minds when a white person says it but think nothing of it when a black person says it. If it's a bad word for anybody it's a bad word for everybody.
I dont think its funny. I mean, generally speaking, white people have said it differently, and for different reasons, and I have no issue with it being off limits. Have no reason to say it.

Not sure I can agree that white people generally say it maliciously and black folks generally say it in an endearing way. I also have no issue with it being off limits but it needs to be off limits across the board.

Wow- is that mostly verbatim? There's a way to shoehorn in the racism-bad angle, but any real apology has to start and/or end with the "I done screwed up and accused an innocent man; I profusely apologize to him and his family for the grief I may have caused him with this mistake".

C.S. Lewis summed it up well

I said "have" and they have, for a couple of centuries, so like I said, I'm ok with it.
