That’s all I researched….Hope you all researched punters and long snappers or else im killing yall this year with my edge
Just reading on the home page on Fantrax, but are we planning on using Week 0 with Week 1? I know there's not a ton of games but UCLA guys would lose one game of points if we don't add it. I don't recall any Illini or Huskers being drafted
How’s Oregon’s defense looking this year, looks like I got that…Hope you all researched punters and long snappers or else im killing yall this year with my edge
Oh shit… I completely forgot the draft was today…![]()
Probably better than I would have done, for sure.Fantrax didn't screw you. If Penix is healthy you are good at QB and have some depth at RB. Your WR's are kinda meh but we are all chasing waver wire guys there by week 3 so it's not so bad.

Anyone want to do an honest assessment of their team?
For me Uiagalelei was a solid and obvious first pick. Rattler was a clear and easy no 1 but behind him there were a half dozen quarterbacks who would have been safe. I was happy to get him at 8. I really wanted JT Daniels as my no. 2 qb but I waited a little too long and had to settle for the BAV in Max Duggan there. It's pretty meh but he should rack up decent rushing yards and td's so I'm ok with it. My backup is Jayden Daniels and honestly him and Duggan should have similar numbers. Without thinking about the waiver wire my no 2 and 3 are interchangeable depending on the match-up. I wanted to take another qb late but the BAV options had similar bye weeks to who I had already drafted so I elected to get more depth at other positions.
RB I didn't do the best job. I took Allgeier more for his schedule than anything, but as a no. 1 it was kinda meh. Gibbs is going to split carries so that was a mistake as a no. 2. I kinda forgot Georgia Tech has a different offense now. Porter is decent for depth so it's an ok flex. I like my backups in Dixon, Carr, and McClellan. If Dixon or Carr can establish themselves as bell cows I fully expect to have one of them as a primary starter. I'd say the same for McClellan but Bama seems to do a lot of rb by committee-he might be someone I don't use much this year but hold as a keeper if it looks like he has Heisman potential next year.
WR I think I did alright. Downs should be a mid level no 1 stater and London and Harris are primary targets on their respective teams. Gray was a value pick but will provide decent depth. I probably overvalued Presley. This kid was an offensive cheat code in HS and had a breakout bowl game for Oklahoma State last year. I wanted to pick him up late as a sleeper but the metrics on Fantrax had him going off the board around the 100th pick. I took him around that here-I wasn't too worried about someone snaking him but didn't want to wait too long and have someone on autodraft pick him up. That being said, Oklahoma State has 3 wide receivers who could establish themselves as a no 1 guy and from the sound of things in camp a Freshman who is going to see plenty of playing time. He could be our next big thing at WR or he may not catch enough balls to be a solid fantasy option. Time will tell.
TE I am pretty happy with. I don't know how Calcaterra will do after two years off but when he was at ou he was legitimately the best TE in fantasy. It's a pass happy offensive so I felt that was a pretty safe pick. And I got Stronger as the backup. Maybe it's years of watching the squats kill us at that position but I feel I got two guys that can add value at a position that generally you hope isn't a liability.
DST I went with Ohio State because that seemed like a safe option. I'll run with that until they have a bye unless something on the waiver wire looks attractive.
Kicker. Total Homer pick in Hale, but dude was money last year until he got hurt (how exactly does a kicker blow his knee out in warmups?Hopefully he has made a full recovery.
Going in I was hoping to get Williams at where I was slotted in the 1st round. Not because he's an ND players, but he was really good last year, and with Coan being a new QB I think we'll rely heavily on RB and TE. Almost like a Wisconsin type. In the 2nd round I was targeting Roberson from SMU. I had him a couple years ago and he was lights out til he was injured.
Going that route, I knew I would need an under the radar QB room, so I went stylistically for Houston and SMU and hoping the system they run can merit the QB's putting up good numbers. I don't think the QB's are all that great, but with the style coupled with the shitty defense those teams play, I'm guessing they'll be in a lot of shootouts. And they both play shitty schedules/defenses for the most part.
At TE I think Meyer is a beast, but I'm not sure about overall production. It's a weak TE group this year IMO.
Overall, I like my team. Took a couple flyers later in the rounds on guys who I think might be starters, so was looking for a higher ceiling. Probably won't work out.
Looking forward to the season!
shough still had solid numbers just looke ratttled missed throws and threw picks or took sacks more in the second half of the season and why he lost starting positionRound 1: CJ Stroud- probably a reach at 6, but if he can be productive for 2 full years at QB and put up numbers like tOSU QBs have then it feels like a good pick
Round 2: Tyler Shough- fell into my old habits of taking the TTech QB. If what @ahiru says is true, might not be what he could have been.
Round 3: Isaiah Spiller- Puts up numbers, solid RB.
Round 4: Master Teague- went with a familiar name when I didn't love much else without reaching (wanted Berger with next pick)...
Round 5: Chris Rodriguez- OC says 20-25 touches a game for him. I like it
Round 6: Erik Ezukanma- went with a QB/WR stack
Round 7: Tyler Snead- put up some numbers last year and plays on a shit team so they'll have to throw
Round 8: EJ Williams- Clemson always churns out some stud WRs
Round 9: Jake Ferguson- BPA at TE
Backups: Went with a couple of young QBs who would need to be 4+ year guys unless they want to be late round picks. Some young RBs with some upside.
Defense.... went with teams with weaker schedules and will play matchups
Kicker... who gives a fuck
Oof. Is there no other backs available to be claimed? If someone wants to throw me a trade offer for a running back I'm game. I lost an every week starter (Cam Porter) to a season ending injury. I don't know that I want to give up too much for a similar replacement but if someone needs depth at WR or a possible draft pick next year I'm game.
