Farve reveals he has Parkinson’s

Sucks if true.

Hope he lives forever. Scamming the government or people that leach off the government is a noble cause

Heard an NPR article the other day about how many former players believe that they have CTE. A survey was conducted, and nearly a 3rd of respondents said they thought they were exhibiting symptoms of CTE.

There's an awful, awful reckoning coming to the NFL one day

Farve is saying over his career "he has had thousands of concussions" which obviously is an exaggeration but I'm sure he has had quite a few and it's a big contributing factor. Tua needs to take the money and run.

Had a buddy from high school who played a few years in the NFL. He had numerous concussions, but the NFL denied him enhanced coverage because he also had concussions in college. He couldn’t function or even complete basic tasks and ultimately died at 54 years old.

Yeah, it's just like when Mike Gundy said he's driven home tipsy "thousands of times." But I don't doubt that anybody who played in Favre's era suffered multiple concussions. They were never taken out of games very long (if at all) whenever they got hammered.

I remember watching Aikman get one of his last ones, when his eyes were bugging out of his head and he didn't know where he was. Ditto Jim Kelly when he was carted off on a wagon after taking a bad hit. And I think everyone has seen Jim Burt's hit on Montana in the NFC Title game, which scrambled his eggs good.

Mike Webster and Junior Seau are the extreme cases but I'm sure there are hundreds more.

Dang, sorry to hear that...that's OUR age. Way too early.

That's another facet to it: lots of players, by the time they get to the pros, have already suffered concussions in HS or college. The NFL wants to deny any accountability. Their day is coming, just like it did for the tobacco industry.

Does Parkinson's make you scam millions of dollars from tax payers? :headscratch:
I think the most a Go Fund Me will get him is a couple thousand...

Goes some of the way to explaining several dozen of the dumber picks he threw while he was in the grasp.

Football, dick picks, parkinsons and the media.

I'm not sure what to think. He gave me fun years watching his country ass make fun of defenses.

I know he has done some despicable things, but I wouldn't wish that disease or ones like it on my worst enemy
