Favorite Cake/Favorite Pie

German Chocalate, no need for pecans.

Lemon meringue, or good ol apple.
 
My grandma makes something called an orange-pineapple cake, it's not a turnover, it's orange-pineapple cake. It's the only kind of cake I'll eat.

For pie, I like sweet tater or pumpkin. They taste the same to me, both are awesome. But given the choice, I'll take a blackberry cobbler or banana pudding, but cobblers and puddings weren't asked about
 
White cake with strawberries & real whipped cream or a tart berry pie like blackberry or boysenberry.
 
Apple pie and Boston Cream Pie which I consider more cake than pie. Ma Racer used to make a pineapple upside down cake that I would devour when I was a kid. I also like those Pepperidge Farms refrigerated layer cakes
 
I like strawberry cake.

Pie I like coconut or peanut butter.

I've never been a fan of an Ice Cream Pie, but people seem to love them.

No, white cake with strawberry/whipped cream filling. Strawberry shortcake is more like a biscuit.

For us it was an angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream or cool whip for the outdoor summer parties.
 
Cheesecake is it’s own category to me.

It’s not cake. I don’t care that it tries to be. It’s not.

And anything that tries to self identify as cake, cannot be pie.

Made a peppermint crisp cheesecake over the weekend. Turned out great.
