Favorite Cake/Favorite Pie

NY style cheesecake.

Made a peppermint crisp cheesecake over the weekend. Turned out great.

Soooo many options but...

German Chocolate Cake is very, very hard to beat.

A good peach pie with vanilla ice cream? One of life's great pleasures.

I typically use brownie as my "crust" because I'm not a huge graham cracker crust fan.

However, for this one, I used tennis biscuits as I was playing off of a peppermint crisp tart. So, it was tennis biscuits, layer of dulce de leche, peppermint crisp cheesecake, topped with grated peppermint crisp and dulce de leche.

Sounds awesome!

I’ve yet to find a cheesecake I don’t enjoy.

For us it was an angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream or cool whip for the outdoor summer parties.

That’s good stuff, too! I also like to use pound cake.

I’ve yet to find a cheesecake I don’t enjoy.

I should have taken a pic after it was sliced open....I still have a couple slices worth in the fridge, but it's all wrapped up.



I wanted to criss cross the topping, but I cut too large of a hole in the bag.... And I should have bought 2 cans of condensed milk instead of 1.
