Kenny Rogers, yes the country singer...was in a band called The First Edition and they sang a song about the LSD experience. No really! Every line in the song is fucking awesome. The lyrics are better than the singing for sure...

They came to Lake Charles in the very very early 70s. First concert I went to in the new Civic Center on the lake. Had tickets to The Guess Who concert, but they cancelled, so Kenny Rogers was the first.
And yes, the lyrics are better than the singing.
