Zaga v Bama

My last minute bracket (third of three) still has Gonzaga, Alabama, Baylor, and Houston. My first had Gonzaga beating Illinois and second had Michigan beating Oklahoma State. Funny that my gut feel one is better than the ones where I used unbiased analytics.

Having those four still is pretty impressive.

I never entertained the idea that Illinois wouldn’t make the FF. Lol

If Livers somehow miraculously plays, I could see Bama losing. But I don’t really think there’s a snowballs chance of that happening.

I usually don't rely so much on the analytics but I hardly watched anything this season. As I am a Kentucky fan you can probably understand why.

Like anybody needs a miracle to beat Alabama basketball?

While I still have my final four pics alive in Gonzaga, Baylor, Houston and Florida State, it just seems like Syracuse and UCLA have some crazy kind of juju going right now. But, I'm sticking with my four even though Houston hasn't looked real swift lately.

And it is a damn shame Oregon and USC are having to play each other at this point IMO. But, hey, that's what happens when a conference has 25% of the Sweet 16 teams. LA and the state of Oregon carrying the mail for the PAC.

3 states have two schools in the S16. California, Texas and Oregon.

California has 26 D-1 Programs
Texas has 24
Oregon has 4

That was a snafu either intended or not by the NCAA.

They really should've had Oregon where Florida was.

They set up a situation where they would have two teams from the PAC-12 and SEC playing each other in the Sweet 16 and it SHOULD have happened if not for horrendous, inexplicable play by Florida.

They usually only have conference teams meet when absolutely necessary.

The brackets may be burned to the ground but since the beginning of the season the finals were going to be Gonzaga vs Baylor...so nothing has changed except the teams they get to boat race in the Final 4

to be fair tho who would who saw a 7 vs 6 or 12 vs 8 happening

Putting the top 2 teams in the PAC in the same region was odd. As noted, they could have easily put Oregon in a different region.

I don’t really mind the conference rematches as much as other people do, however.

NCAA doesn't care where they put 7 and 6 seeds, because they have their eye on the potential 3/2 matchup.
