Fire Day

There was no shame in what happened last night. Gave a great team all they wanted and fell a little short. It’s Jim Harbaugh being Day’s daddy that should get him canned.

But I find it funny that Day gets a ton of criticism despite making the playoffs 3 out of 4 years and making the NCG in one of them, yet everyone seems to suck Lincoln Riley’s dick despite him never winning a playoff game and leaving Oklahoma in worse shape than he found it and choking away a playoff spot this year
Lincoln Riley is the coaching equivalent of George Hamilton or the Kardashians. He is famous for being famous.

Gagging away a 14 point 4th quarter lead on the big stage is very much shame

I saw a great comeback, not a choke. Bennett got hot in the 4th quarter and some of those throws were into pretty tight windows with good coverage

Our last 2 offensive possessions were vintage shit Ryan day play calling.

35 seconds left to get better field position for a FG and you fucking run it up the middle? Trusting a college kicker who doesn’t have a big leg. Top stupidity

He called two pass plays after the run. One was deflected, the other was thrown away to avoid a sack, and a 50 yard FG is a higher percentage play than a Hail Mary

The last couple of drives He reverted back to his shit play calling in the key moments
Looked like the same head scratchers that were called vs Michigan. But the all the world is right ~ now that LeBron is on the case.

Nope. Last night was a grand choke job on the biggest stage. No moral victories

Saying no moral victories is fine. Ohio State should expect to be in those games (and they were). Calling for Day to be fired is beyond an overreaction

He shoulda been fired after the Michigan game. This game just solidified that he is a shitty coach on the big stages

Harrison Jr had everything to do with that and it’s not like they weren’t still driving down the field after his injury. You take a guy that UGA had to double out of the game and that’s going to affect your offense, plain and simple. I was one of the people that was critical of Day throughout the season but I thought he did great in that game, other than the one running play on 1st down on the final drive. No reason for a run there

The fact that on that final drive we were down Harrison and Stover, not to mention JSN and Henderson, and still got into FG range was incredible. It was a missed kick, plain and simple. Day did a great job.

I would have preferred to stay aggressive too there but I understand the run as well. We were 48 yards away and had just made a 48 yarder. Just sucks that they didn't execute and lost two yards.

I was critical of Ryan Day going into game (check game thread) but I think he had a great strategy and Ohio State probably should have won. It came down to a Kicker that totally goofed it at the end.

The offensive game plan was impeccable. To think we didn't have JSN, Henderson, then Stover went down early against the top defense in the nation and we still scored 41, hats off to Day. Defensively I wasn't surprised. We need this offseason to evaluate the secondary for sure. That said, they largely shut Bowers down and did well against the run other than that big 52 yarder, so the front 7 did their job. If they can develop the secondary this offseason things will be much different next year. It was definitely our Achilles heal.

Unless our secondary vastly improve I don't want to see a damn zero coverage at all next season

I don't wanna see it regardless unless we have a comfortable lead and we want a knockout punch.
