Yes I am old
Good choice. I played allot of Blades of Steel.

For me:
Pong was first unless you count the Mattell handheld electronic football

Favorite - Tecmo Super Bowl. Played that so much. I still do from time to time. It was also the first game I had that could save games.

First was pong...played that shit non stop.

Favorite was Defender...played that shit for hours on end. I managed an arcade when I was in college and put one of these machines in the office with me....if you needed something, you had to drag me away from this game.

I almost posted a pic of one as my first but the photo was too large...

...this one will work.

You can buy one of these on Ebay for about 80 bucks.

The first system I had was Atari. I played the living balls off of Defender.

My favorite game of all time is Dragon Warrior for the NES. It just holds a special place in my heart.

My favorite newer game is probably Dark Souls 3.

Great game....it was ahead of the other games graphics when it came out. Then when the other games got better they came out with Stargate Defender! Even better! Awesome game.

I have a multi game disk for Playstation that has defender and some of the classics from that period...pacman, galactica, missile command and donkey kong..tron and some other game I can't think of the name at the moment.

Haven't played them in years....probably never play them again.

Too many to list for favorites... might depend on the console/computer age

I'm sure barely remember playing pong at a friend's house, but I remember playing Tank on our Commodore 64. That game was cool until our dogs knocked the console to the floor and it died.

I'd probably remember a lot more games if I didn't have a propensity to play high as a motherfucker....

I don't definitively know the very first game I played, I just remember it was on the ColecoVision at my grandparents' house. (My grandfather was an OG.)

Taking an educated guess, it was probably...

"Mouse Trap"

or

"Mr. Do!"

I played the hell out of those two games when I'd visit.

Note: My grandfather gave me his ColecoVision. I've got it hooked up to my beastly 36" tube TV in my retro gaming den.

To me, video games have a dividing line - at 64-bit. So when I'm asked about favorite, I kinda have to give two:

My pre-64-bit favorite of all time is "Super Mario World".
My 64-bit+ favorite of all time is "Skyrim".

First: Pong
Favorites: Rome: Total War, Harpoon, NCAAF
