hot take: Deacs will finish top 20 on kenpom

hot take: Deacs will finish top 20 on kenpom

They're currently at 104. Would certainly be a significant Jump. I like the transfers Forbes brought in, but probably a fringe bubble team this year IMO.

23 is wayyyyyyyy too high for Iowa

Im excited for this year ad i think its goinh to be a VERY different type Iowa team led by our D and athletes but its a fringe tourney team imo. Not a top 25 team

and they are only 104 b/c they sucked last year and last year's recruiting cycle as a whole was pretty weird

That's a fair take. I'm gonna do my preseason bracketology in the next few weeks, and I think they'll be somewhere in the 10 seed to First 4 Out range without looking into everything.

I think they'll be better than that for sure. I'd probably peg them as a top 75 team. Which is pretty good for year 2. I think finishing top half of the league would be a nice jump too. I think they'll have more depth this year, but you'd know that more than I would.

Id have them around 9-11 so pretty similar. Its going to be a fun year with way more athleticism in the rotation , far better D too. If Rebraca plays well and Bohannon and Sandfort shoot it well we could be auite good but thats a lot of ifs and we have to play Illinois, Michigan , Purdue and MD 2 times each this year so the league schedule certainly is not too favorable

vibes around the program are way too good right now. i was joking about top 20, but i think they're going to be a top 50 team that finishes in the top half of the ACC.

Illinois too high. I think by the end of the year tho this team will be ready for March and could maybe get to the final 4.

Damn sure would have been nice if Duane Washington would have been back for this year

My initial reaction was Oregon is way too low. On further inspection, there are a lot of oddly ranked teams.

Only 2 Top 25 teams from the ACC but FIVE from the SEC and SIX B1G? There seems to be a lot of 2020 polling in the 2021 pre-season polling. I believe that will change after the season gets well underway.

Especially considering the huge turd the BIG dropped in the tourney

Thanks for putting this together. I can't wait for a more normal OOC schedule this year. A 4 bid WCC would be incredible, and I think it's possible if San Francisco and LMU perform well OOC. Honestly it might be the 7th best league in the country this year behind the P5's and the Big East.
