I used to do this. Now the upgrades are so nominal that it doesn't make sense.

And I realized all I do is basically use my cell phone as an Ipod anyway, so it doesn't make sense to need anything fancy.

I think you’re probably right. I get hand me down phones from work when the higher ups upgrade. So I’m usually one or two behind the latest dealio. But I noticed the phones are getting bigger again.

I upgrade my phone every couple of years. They always seem to stop working when the newer version comes out.

Ordered 3 smoke detectors. They came in a box that was about 2 inches tall, 6 inches wide but about 3 feet long.

Apparently at Amazon, they unboxed them (as none had the original packaging, but there was ONE set of instructions) and put the hardware in a cardboard container that had circular holes cut in it. I mean why the fuck would you go through the effort to do that?

Broad's aunt bought some chairs from a furniture store back in August. Is getting them delivered this week.

And Stainless is overrated. Even though that's all the shit in my house.

I didn't really want stainless, we liked the white finish fine. But, since we didn't know when the white ones would actually be available, and our dishwasher is on its last legs, we got stainless, because it can be here Saturday.

The thing that's currently bugging me about the appliance setup is that the Washer is a different size/brand than the dryer after the Great Washer Third Floor flood of 2020. Washer is a bigger LG now, standing next to the peasant Maytag that the first owners of this house never upgraded.
