Bowled a 220 last night. Pretty good for me. Couple 180s to go with it.
You get that on tape?

I've said it before, all you redsox/pats fans look the same to me![]()
I do the laundry in my house. Has been that way since week 1 of 25 great years with the wife. Almost all household chores we split 50/50; however, I loathe grocery shopping and she loathes laundry. So we made a deal immediately - I do 100% of laundry and she does 100% of grocery shopping. Each of us have been very happy with that deal.Is your wife sick?

It sounds like a vibration or whirring. I did try that first with it all the way on hot earlier this morning, and that made the noise go down a lot. Going to take another crack at it with the faucet set to where it's making the noise. What is the noise that it is making? Maybe there is a little air trapped in there, did you leave the valve open (all of them in the bathroom really) when turning the water back on so it can purge and not just drive air pockets into the crevices that is then tough to get out?
It's good to hear that your parents stuck together long enough for one of them to get Alzheimer's and that your dad is stepping up to handle things as your mom struggles. God bless them both. That was pretty much how it was at my parents house. Unfortunately now that my mom has Alzheimer's my dad is now doing everything around the house and grocery shopping.

I'm sure there were struggles along the way that toughened up your dad enough to handle this. And your trials have toughened you up enough to help both parents through it. God bless you all!Yeah they are amazing! I know it is killing my dad though but he is too proud of a man to show it but I have seen him cracking at times and it is killing me.

My FIL is apparently starting to figure out how to cook. We see more pots and pans in the dish rack when we visit now versus when my MIL came home from the hospital around Christmas. When I briefly talked with him about it, he said something like he had expected to be able to get more time teaching himself how to cook before MIL came home, but now that she's not completely dependent on him for everything, he's been able to try some more things. They still do a lot of TV dinner type things, and I don't know that he's ever going to be a "cook from scratch" type guy, but he's at least trying a bit. That was pretty much how it was at my parents house. My wife told me stories about his legendary lack of cooking acumen. Apparently he just didn't want to sit in the kitchen for 10-15 minutes to watch things cook. There's a family story that he was supposed to cook hot dogs for dinner. He boils water, throws in the hot dogs, and then goes and does something else. By the time he comes back to the hot dogs, they've exploded. So he orders a pizza.
was pretty scary, trash can lid blew about 15 feet into the yardThank heavens you survived.
I do all of the outside work, she does the laundry. We split groceries and dishes. We both help each other (her outside, me with laundry) but the main player for each is set.I do the laundry in my house. Has been that way since week 1 of 25 great years with the wife. If it is a mix-it type then yeah will need it in the middle position. Might have put air in your hot water lines too, do you have an expansion tank? Might need to purge that as well.It sounds like a vibration or whirring. I did try that first with it all the way on hot earlier this morning, and that made the noise go down a lot. That's rough, sorry to hear it. Went through it with both my grandparents on my moms side, so I know she will likely get it too. I've been pushing them to move out of BFE and near me or my brother because I can't be driving 2 hours each way every day to check on them when things get bad.She is at the early stages so it will only most likely get worse but I am living closer to them so I can see them more often and I will be seeing them for a week after tomorrow.
It may be too late to teach them, as new thing can be overwhelming but Instapots are amazing for "set it and forget it". Even easier than the old school crockpot, since they can shut off on their own. We did that for my grandparents, would go over in the morning and dump in whatever was needed and then wrote down what time dinner would be ready. They could open it on their own, but it would go on when needed, run as long as it needed, then set on keep warm and it was all done.My dad did all of the grilling and my mom did the rest but now that she can't really do that he is doing it all. Now it's not exactly what we had when it was both of them cooking but he's doing well with it. But that is also why I like Wegman's so much since there are so many pre-made meals that all you have to do is to put in oven and set it and forget it
I don't have an expansion tank, so that's not a concern. I did shut off the hot water at the heater when the tub cartridge first stopped working. That's also when I realized that the d00ds who replaced my plumbing when we redid the basement didn't know that we didn't put shut off valves on the stems into the tub. We just put shut-off valves in the lines in the basement since it was easier to work with.If it is a mix-it type then yeah will need it in the middle position. Might have put air in your hot water lines too, do you have an expansion tank? Might need to purge that as well.
NFL football tonight. ...kinda...
...and@ the Bears for not giving their rookie QB live reps tonight... ...Caleb Williams' career hasn't even started yet and the Bears are already ruining it...

We still use a crock pot a lot more than the Instant Pot. I haven't done it yet, but one thing I was considering doing was trying a microwave cookbook and getting one for my FIL if the food comes out good. It seems like he could read instructions on the TV dinners, so I would assume that he could potentially cook in the microwave. It may be too late to teach them, as new thing can be overwhelming but Instapots are amazing for "set it and forget it".
