Fluffy Snow Friday

The plows woke me up at three. And nothing had begun to accumulate yet. WTF are they doing out there before snow?
 
26° in Birmingham Alabama. I hate winter, unless I’m in Colorado
 
65 degrees in Sarasota.
 
dusting of snow here, maybe 2 inches, but barely.
 
It’s my son’s 1 year old bday today. If I was a horribly selfish stupid parent I’d post a long drawn-out happy birthday message to him on Facebook where he will never read it. Instead I’ll just post a short one here. Happy birthday, buddy.

my friends who celebrate their kids first birthday are doing it to celebrate they survived a year with a baby more than anything else.

I don't see what is horribly selfish and stupid about it. It's just a Facebook post.

That sounds like a post about them. Their friends will read it. Cool. I’m taking about when people post big Happy Birthday messages to their kids who obviously aren’t on Facebook. My mom wished my wife and I a happy anniversary on Facebook. Big post, with pics and messages abut life to us both. Of course I don’t have Facebook and she said nothing to me in person so - that kind of stuff is always selfish. But that’s Facebook.

my friend's grandmother passed away last week and her uncle made a post on Facebook even though it had been years since he had come to visit his mother and didn't even come to the funeral.

so yea, there are definitely those who do it for attention and that's it, but there are those who do it for attention and because they want to put that out there on their platform.

my suggestion is to not let it bother you.

or just get off Facebook.
 
got me some Indian food for dinner last night...paneer Chatinaad I think. It was delicious.

also watched Don't Look Up on Netflix. Really enjoyed that one.

@Bender made it partway through season 3 of Animal Kingdom. Pretty good.

Grocery store was out of fresh chicken yesterday. Haven't seen that in a bit.
